Handgun 101 - Intro to Pistol Shooting
This is a great foundational course for new or novice shooters. This course provides hands-on training. Upon completion of this course, students will have the knowledge to safely handle and operate most types of revolvers and semi-automatic pistols.

None
Topics to be covered:
- Firearms and range safety
- Components and operation of pistols and revolvers
- Laws relating to the possession, storage, and transportation of firearms
- Laws relating to the use of deadly force
- Ammunition
- Loading and unloading
- Shooting fundamentals
Class is approximately 4 hours in duration.
Required Equipment:
- Closed toe shoes
- No low cut necklines
- Water and lunch/snacks
- Hat and sunscreen, recommended
- Do not bring firearms or ammunition to class unless first cleared with instructor
Additional Notes:
Tuition is $150 and includes the FSC exam. A private class is $250 and is available on weekdays only.
Students will shoot approximately 35 rounds and are highly encouraged to take Handgun 102 in order to become familiar with their personal handgun and to become a proficient shooter.
**Tuition includes the use of firearms and hearing protection. Students who are unable to meet and maintain our safety requirements during the shooting portion of class may be removed from training without refund. This is essential for the safety of all who attend the class.
The state of California requires that all persons who obtain firearms have a basic familiarity with those firearms - including but not limited to, safe handling and storage. This means that all individuals who would like to purchase a firearm must pass the Firearm Safety Certificate exam. For those who desire, the exam will be offered at the conclusion of class.
Liberty Firearms Training has a safety training course for minors 10+ years old (must be accompanied by a parent, of course). In this class, we teach gun safety and shooting fundamentals. Class concludes with some good old fashioned target practice. Please send us a message for more information and special pricing.
