Rifle/Carbine
This is a foundational course for the individual new to rifles and carbines.
Prerequisite:
None
Topics to be covered:
- Safe use and handling
- Basic operation
- Zeroing procedures
- Marksmanship fundamentals
- Stance/shooting positions
- How to load, shoot, and reload
- Target transition
- Practical drills
Required equipment:
- Semi-automatic rifle or carbine with sling
- 3 magazines (preferred)
- 1 magazine pouch
- 300 rounds
- Eye and ear protection
- Footwear suitable for rapid movement
- No low necklines
Additional notes:
Round count varies for bolt action.
Tuition is $225 per person.
Private classes are available for $325.
This class is approximately four hours; maximum number of students is six.
